          The annual PIChE National Convention is the largest gathering of chemical engineers in the country, with delegates coming from various industries and institutions.  It provides a stimulating forum for scientists, engineers, educators, environmentalists, entrepreneurs and students from all over the Philippines and neighboring countries to share new research findings and exchange relevant information on current and emerging areas of research and technologies. It also creates a pleasant environment for the participants to meet old friends and make new friends who share similar research or career interests and passion for making the chemical engineering profession relevant.

      The 79th PIChE National Convention will be hosted by the Laguna Chapter with the theme “Expanding Chemical Engineering Competencies for National Development”.  While Filipino Chemical Engineers aim to be globally competitive professionals by continuing learning and development, we must also not forget that we have a primary responsibility to contribute to advancing our nation and solving problems which impact our countrymen and the future generation of Filipinos.
